Puducherry, Ulavarkarai, Karaikal, Mahe, Yanam municipalities will go to elections for 5 Municipality head and 122 ward councilor posts. Voters falling in these municipalitieshas to record two votes.
Ariyankuppam, Bahour, Mannatippattu, Nettappakkam, Villianur, kottucceri, Netunkatu, Niravi, Thirumalairayanpattinam and Tirunallaru panchayats will go to elections for 98 heads of village Panchayats, 98 Panchayat members, 815 Village Panchayat Ward members post. Voters falling in these panchayats has to record three votes.
